هدف این شیوه‌نامه یکدست‌سازی شیوهٔ نگارشی مقاله‌ها در ویکی‌پدیا است چرا که این امر به آسان‌خوانی مقالات کمک خواهد کرد. ضابطه‌های زیر نه لزوماً بهترین‌ها هستند و نه به هیچ‌وجه حرف آخر را می‌زنند. اما اگر همگان از شیوهٔ یکسانی پیروی کنند استفاده از ویکی‌پدیا چه هنگام خواندن مقاله‌ها و چه هنگام ویرایش آنها آسان می‌شود....
